Hiring a bilingual nanny through a specialized agency is a wise investment for your family. But how much does it really cost? Agency fees, nanny's salary, application fees, replacement guarantees… Here's a complete and transparent guide to understanding the pricing structure of a high-end bilingual nanny placement in 2026.

Why go through a placement agency to recruit a bilingual nanny?
Before discussing the figures, it's helpful to understand what the cost of a placement covers. An agency like Magic Nannies doesn't just forward CVs: it rigorously selects each candidate (only 5% of applications are accepted), checks references, conducts in-depth interviews, handles the administrative aspects, and supports you until you start the job.

Recruiting on your own may seem less expensive in the short term. However, the cost of a bad recruitment , contract termination, restarting the process, and the impact on the children is often much higher than the fees of a specialized agency.
The different types of investment and their prices in 2026
Part-time placement
Part-time placement refers to positions of less than 13 hours per week — typically a bilingual after-school nanny for school pick-up, mornings or half-days.
Magic Nannies offers two packages:
Premium+ Package: €1,550. This package includes an 8-month replacement guarantee from the date of signing the contract. If the situation changes during this period, a replacement will be provided within 5 weeks, at no extra cost.
File opening fee:
€250 for a position in France
€300 for Europe or international destinations
In the case of shared childcare , a supplement of €250 applies. The balance of fees is due upon hiring, within 10 days.
Permanent full-time position
For a full-time bilingual nanny position, fees are calculated as a percentage of the candidate's net annual salary:
France: 15% of net annual salary
Europe / International: 17% of net annual salary
This placement includes a 12-week replacement guarantee after starting the position, with replacement made within 5 weeks at no extra cost.
The same file opening fees apply: €250 in France, €300 internationally.
Concrete example: for a bilingual nanny paid €2,500 net/month (i.e. €30,000 net annually), placement fees amount to €4,500 in France.
Temporary placement
Do you need a travel nanny for your holidays, or a one-off replacement?
Temporary placement applies to assignments of less than 12 weeks:
France: €300 per week worked
Europe / International: €400 per week worked
Application opening fee: €250 in France / €300 internationally.
A 3-week replacement guarantee is included, at no extra cost.
And what about the bilingual nanny's salary?
Agency fees are added to the nanny's net salary , which is paid by the employing family. As a guide, for an experienced bilingual nanny in France:
Part-time nanny (after school): between €15 and €20 net/hour
Full-time (live-in) nanny : between €2,000 and €3,500 net/month depending on experience and location
Maternity nurse : between €200 and €350 net/24h depending on experience
These ranges vary depending on the city (Paris, Monaco, French Riviera), the level of bilingualism, experience and responsibilities entrusted.
