Native English-Speaking Nanny | Part-Time | Marseille 7th
Start Date: December 2026 · Term-time · International Travel · Long-term Position · Driving Essential

The Family
A welcoming international family residing in the highly sought-after 7th arrondissement of Marseille is seeking an experienced and accomplished Live-in or Live-out Nanny to join their household on a long-term basis. The family has five children, with the successful nanny taking primary responsibility for the two youngest, aged 2 and 3. The three older children are already supported through an established shared-care arrangement, allowing the nanny to devote her attention to the younger children while remaining part of a well-organised wider childcare structure.
The Children
The two youngest children will be the nanny's principal focus. At this important stage of their development, the family is looking for someone attentive to each child's individual personality and developmental needs, offering a balanced combination of nurturing care, gentle structure and stimulating experiences.
The Role
The nanny will take full responsibility for the youngest children during her working hours, overseeing their daily routine, wellbeing and activities with a high level of care and professionalism. Responsibilities include nursery and school runs, accompanying the children to activities and appointments, preparing snacks and simple healthy meals, and creating age-appropriate activities throughout the day.
Shared Care & Older Children
The nanny may occasionally provide support to the older children within the family's shared-care arrangements. She will, however, never be expected to take sole responsibility for all five children simultaneously.
Driving - Essential
A valid driving licence is essential for this appointment. The successful candidate must be completely comfortable driving in Marseille and using the family vehicle for nursery and school runs, activities, appointments and outings.
International Travel
Travel is an important and established part of the family's lifestyle. The family travels during every school holiday, including internationally, and the successful nanny must be genuinely comfortable and fully available to accompany them.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong professional experience caring for toddlers and young children. She will be naturally warm and nurturing, mature, composed and confident in establishing appropriate routines and boundaries. Fluent English is required and excellent professional references will be expected.
Schedule & Package
During school term time, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are worked from 8:00–9:00am and again from 4:00–8:00pm (morning paid on a two-hour minimum). Wednesday is worked as a full day. During school holidays, the nanny must be fully available to accompany the family on their travels, including international trips. Salary: 16–18€ net/hour depending on experience and profile, plus 50% transport reimbursement. Live-in or live-out, depending on the candidate's preference. Start: December 2026.
